Biography
Dr. Yoksa Salmamza Mshelia is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Africa (UNISA). He holds a PhD and MSc in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Maiduguri.
His research interests include geospatial analysis, remote sensing, GeoAI, socio-ecological modelling, urban resilience, climate adaptation and food security.
His work has examined urban climate governance, landscape change, vegetation dynamics, food security and environmental management across Africa. At the Mandera Climate Resilience Institute, he contributes expertise in geospatial climate-risk analysis, remote sensing, climate-resilience research, spatial modelling and research capacity development.
